I recently stayed at Medina Palms in Watamu and had a truly unforgettable experience. The hotel is an absolute gem, offering a perfect combination of spacious rooms, stunning views, and direct access to a pristine beach. Spacious Rooms: The rooms at Medina Palms are incredibly spacious and beautifully designed, with a blend of modern luxury and traditional coastal charm. Each room feels like a private sanctuary, with comfortable furniture, a fully equipped kitchen, and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The attention to detail in the decor is exceptional, and the rooms are kept immaculately clean throughout your stay. Fantastic Views: One of the highlights of staying at Medina Palms is the breathtaking views. Whether you're relaxing on your private balcony or enjoying a meal at the restaurant, you’re treated to spectacular panoramas of the Indian Ocean and lush tropical surroundings. The hotel’s location is perfect for watching the sunrise or sunset, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere. Beach: The beach is absolutely gorgeous – soft white sand and crystal-clear water right at your doorstep. The hotel is situated in a prime spot, allowing easy access to the beach for swimming, sunbathing, or simply strolling along the shoreline. It’s quiet and peaceful, which makes it ideal for those looking to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of Watamu. Overall, Medina Palms is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a luxurious yet laid-back beachfront retreat. We had a fabulous time at Medina Palms, the staff is friendly, and the location and amenities are truly top-notch. From the entrance to the conception of the outdoorsy gardens, swimming pools, lounge area everything gives a peaceful feeling. The real surprise was at the very first moment we stepped in, the reception informed us that we got upgraded. Instead of the 2 rooms booking they gave us the penthouse. The stay was a 2-floor with rooms and a living room on the ground floor and an open living room, balconies, and a jacuzzi on the rooftop, opened to a nice view of the Medina Palms Resort. The place is ideal for a couple of family accommodations.

Arguably the poshest hotel in the area. We stayed in the two-floor room with a mini sea view; compact but charming. The air conditioning was a true saviour in the steamy heat, turning the room into a much-needed little sanctuary. Food-wise, we only tried breakfast and a bit of room service. It was fine - just not quite up to the standard you’d expect at this level. The coffee martini on the other hand! Winner! The beach was a slight letdown, with views of sandbags and seaweed that could’ve used a daily clean-up. A bit of a missed opportunity, given the setting.

The place is beautiful, their service is great, they are very thorough. The food is also great. Good place to rest and chill. Though have lots of rules, specifically that children shouldn't make noise in the pool, which I didn't understand because they are kids, but other than that I'd definitely recommend it someone.

Awesome place to have dinner. Abit pricey though. But its a nice menu, nice lighting with dinner by a pool in a garden.
